Why I Started the Bolne Do Yaar Podcast – A Gen Z Perspective

The idea behind the Bolne Do Yaar podcast started from a simple observation — everyone in our generation has opinions, but very few actually express them honestly.

As college students, fresh graduates, and young professionals, Gen Z in India is going through a unique phase. We are exposed to more opportunities than ever before, yet at the same time, we deal with confusion, pressure, and constant comparison. There are conversations happening in private, but very rarely in public.

That is exactly why I started the Bolne Do Yaar podcast.

I wanted to create a space where people could speak openly — about what they think, what they feel, and what they are going through. Not filtered, not scripted, just real conversations.

The podcast began with two of my close friends, Ayush Shah and Rohan Rahurikar. Together, we started discussing topics that actually matter to young people today — education, relationships, career pressure, and social media.

Farhan Diwan, host of the Bolne Do Yaar podcast, believes that understanding the mindset of young Indians is important not just for individuals, but also for businesses, creators, and society as a whole.

Every episode is focused on one simple idea:

What is really going on in the mind of a young Indian today?

From students trying to figure out their future, to professionals dealing with expectations, to people struggling with identity in a digital world — these are conversations that need to happen more often.

This is just the beginning.

The long-term vision for Bolne Do Yaar is to expand these discussions by bringing together people from different generations. The goal is to have meaningful conversations where perspectives from different age groups collide — not to prove who is right, but to understand each other better.

Farhan Diwan, founder of Areon Air and host of the Bolne Do Yaar podcast, continues to document this journey while building both a business and a platform for real conversations.
